Created by Emmy and BAFTA-nominated Heidi Thomas and based on the bestselling memoir "Call the Midwife" by Jennifer Worth, "Call the Midwife," produced by the BBC and developed by Neal Street Productions, tells the story of midwives in London's East End during the 1950s, exploring their work, lives, and emotions. In Season 9, the staff and midwives of Nonnatus House enter a bold era of innovation. Demographic changes, shifting regulations, and the resurgence of old diseases present them with unexpected challenges.
