Shin Ha-kyun, Han Ji-min, Lee Jung-eun, and Jung Jin-young have confirmed to co-star in TVING's original drama "Yonder." The drama is adapted from the novel "Good bye, Yonder," set in a South Korean metropolis under a Ubiquitous environment in the 2040s. The male lead's wife passes away from cancer, and while he is immersed in the grief of losing her, he suddenly receives an email, leading him to decide to abandon his own body and travel to Yonder, where he can live with his wife once again. "Yonder" refers to a world of immortality; the drama will explore the truth behind immortality and death, memory and oblivion, happiness and unhappiness through Yonder. Shin Ha-kyun plays a journalist living a void life after the death of his wife; under an unexpected circumstance, he receives a letter that allows him to see his deceased wife, plunging him into confusion. Han Ji-min plays the role of the male lead's deceased wife. Before deciding on euthanasia, she signs a questionable contract that later leads the male protagonist to Yonder. Lee Jung-eun plays the role of an operator who guides people to the unknown space of Yonder. Jung Jin-young plays a brain science expert researching death. Directed by Lee Joon-ik ("The King’s Man," "The King's Affection," "The King’s Fishery") and written by Kim Jeong-hoon, Oh Seung-hyun, and Kim Seong-cheol, it will premiere next year.
