This drama is adapted from the novel of the same name by Yoko Gawa, depicting two detectives with completely opposite personalities, values, and investigation methodologies. Ryosuke Yamada plays Kanzaki Ryuichi, and Keishi Tanaka plays Kuroki Kenji. They are both detectives and secretly half-brothers. Kanzaki Ryuichi is a warm-hearted and earnest detective who prefers to believe in the good side of humanity, while Kuroki Kenji is an unprecedentedly capable detective who uses "distrust of others" as a weapon to interpret cases.
