The story takes place in the summer of 1997, when 17-year-old Aoi (played by Kono Kazuya) arrives at Yubi Obstetrics and Gynecology as a newly arrived intern nurse. Little did she know that shortly after her arrival, she would witness a very horrific miscarriage surgery, which had a strong mental impact on her. Fortunately, the staff at the obstetrics and gynecology department are all very gentle seniors — the meticulous director Yubi (played by Seto Koshi), the very reliable nurse Mochizuki Sayako (played by Mizukawa Asami), and the nurse manager Sakaki (played by Harada Mieko), who is sometimes strict and sometimes gentle.
