In the summer of 2022, as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, the summer fireworks festival was announced to be canceled. The father-son duo, fireworks master Mochizuki Seitaro (played by Ikki Takahashi) and Aki (played by Ko Hashizume), spent this year without anything to do. Aki had repeatedly suggested to Seitaro that, although large-scale fireworks festivals could not be held, they could accept personal orders for small fireworks displays. However, Seitaro frowned at this proposal. Preparing for personal fireworks shows not only required online promotion but also venue applications, and to satisfy client needs, rigorous negotiations were necessary beforehand, which Seitaro had no interest in. The true reason for his opposition to the idea was... One day, after finishing breakfast and tidying up, Seitaro went to the workshop only to find Aki collapsed on the ground, simply apologizing before stopping breathing. Winter arrived, and Mizumori Hikaru (played by Tsubasa Honda) found Seitaro with a handwritten flyer that read, "Custom fireworks blooming just for you," asking him for help in setting off fireworks. At that moment, for some reason, the deceased Aki suddenly appeared before Seitaro! Seitaro was shocked, while Aki casually remarked, "Does it really matter if I’m dead or alive?"… Could he be a ghost? Ultimately, Seitaro agreed to help Hikaru, and when he asked what kind of fireworks she wanted, Hikaru replied that she wanted the most perfect fireworks in Seitaro's heart. On the day of the performance, upon seeing the fireworks, Hikaru reacted unexpectedly, causing Seitaro's heart to waver… What is Hikaru's true purpose for wanting to set off fireworks? How will the peculiar relationship between the Mochizuki father and son unfold?
