"From the Start" is inspired by a memoir and tells the cross-cultural love story of American student Amy Wheeler (played by Zoe Saldana) and Sicilian chef Lino, who meet and fall in love while studying in Italy. Their whirlwind romance faces numerous unforeseen challenges, including their vastly different cultural backgrounds; just like in real life, there are plenty of light-hearted moments, but also many serious ones. However, when Lino faces unimaginable health issues that threaten the couple's future, both families come together to form an unexpected large family, proving that love can transcend borders.
