This is a family life emotional drama with a light comedy style. Everyone hopes to encounter good luck that feels like a "pie falling from the sky." However, this time the "pie" that fell from the sky disrupted the life of Zhao Zhengda (played by Ren Chengwei) and his family. Always fond of playing the lottery, Zhou Yuqing (played by Niu Li) couldn’t help but think of buying a ticket right before she gave birth, the numbers written down together with her brother-in-law Zhao Zhengyi (played by Liu Huan). While Zhou Yuqing gave birth to a healthy baby boy, a jackpot was also won, precisely the number bought by her sister-in-law Zhao Zhengguo (played by Huo Nifang). But unexpectedly, Zhengguo encountered a freak accident, getting hit by a car and becoming intellectually disabled, and the lottery ticket disappeared without a trace. As the main host of a radio station, Zhengda managed to run the midnight program well, but life at home was in complete disarray. After the lottery ticket mysteriously disappeared three years ago, Zhou Yuqing always felt that fate was unfair to her, while her homeless brother-in-law Zhengyi was often living at their house, and the sick Zhengguo needed her care. Meanwhile, her three-year-old son Haohao was also heavily reliant on her... These trivial family matters transformed Zhou Yuqing into a nagging woman just like her mother. An accidental quarrel with Zhao Zhengda ended up making Zhao’s father, who had moved from the countryside to the city, so angry he was hospitalized. In a fit of anger, Zhao Zhengda argued with her, and Zhou Yuqing, unexpectedly, casually said a hurtful remark about divorce, which hit right into Zhao Zhengda's "intention." The moment she received the divorce certificate, Zhou Yuqing regretted her impulsiveness. Yet, stubborn as she was, she refused to back down and stayed home for various reasons, living an awkward life "under the same roof" with Zhao Zhengda. They both tried to embarrass each other in various ways. Zhengda made things difficult for Zhou Yuqing to prompt her to move out, while Zhou Yuqing made things difficult for Zhengda to make him realize the home couldn’t do without her. After their divorce, Zhao Zhengda faced a series of misfortunes, and a midnight hotline call from rich girl Song Tianran complicated his life and work even more. However, as their relationship changed from enemies to friends, Song Tianran gradually became attracted to Zhao Zhengda's steadiness, humor, and sense of responsibility, surprisingly wanting him to accept her. Zhou Yuqing sensed their relationship and went to great lengths to try to keep them apart, but inadvertently, it only brought them closer together. Zhou Yuqing brought home an old male classmate from elementary school to provoke Zhengda, but it backfired and embarrassed her instead. Zhou Yuqing was laid off from her job and had to open a small noodle shop. To firmly grasp Zhao Zhengda, she both made life difficult for him and took care of Zhengguo, hoping to find Zhengguo a partner soon, which would be the taxi driver Dasunzi who often took Zhao Zhengda home. Zhao Zhengda condemned Zhou Yuqing's actions as "malicious," but Zhengguo seemed to have developed feelings for Dasunzi. Nobody expected that Zhengguo's poor ex-boyfriend Cai Liang would suddenly show up as a rich man. The Zhao family unanimously believed that the 5 million lottery ticket that vanished three years ago was related to Cai Liang, thus a money-chasing war commenced, with Cai Liang, who was about to enter marriage, trying to explain but failing to convince the Zhao family. To help Zhengguo regain her memory, the Zhao brothers forced Cai Liang to take care of her with both hard and soft tactics. However, Cai Liang’s marriage hit a red light and ultimately ended without any resolution. Ambitious but aimless, Zhao Zhengyi, who is handsome but has no stable job, had a deeply felt but ultimately doomed romance with Zhao Zhengda's assistant Xiaomai due to Xiaomai's "materialism." Zhengyi inadvertently became a marriage facilitator and met and fell in love with English teacher Ding Fangwen, initially thinking he found his happy ending, but faced endless troubles from his formidable mother-in-law Fang Aqin (played by Pan Hong), who brought countless problems to the Zhao family, nearly leading to the end of Zhengyi and Fangwen's marriage. Zhengyi stumbled upon a "business opportunity" and started a "complaint company," not expecting one of the customers to be Zhengda. The brothers felt the preciousness of "warmth in unity" as a family. Song Tianran, who gradually became stronger, felt she could not win Zhao Zhengda's true heart, chose to leave quietly. In her series of "troubles," Zhou Yuqing understood Zhengda and experienced the warmth of family, leading to their remarriage. Zhao Changlu revealed a huge secret to Zhengda: he is actually the illegitimate child left by the educated youth. Zhao Changlu confessed his selfishness, saying he hadn’t revealed the truth for fear that Zhengda, who was standing firm in the city, would not take care of Zhengyi and Zhengguo. Zhengda admitted he had known this secret all along, and in his heart, they were a loving family. Zhengda's birth mother appeared, and she had a close connection with the 5 million lottery ticket that disappeared three years ago... At the wedding of Dasunzi and Zhengguo, Zhao Zhengda expressed that the happiness in his heart is for the family to care for each other. Surrounded by happiness, Zhengguo tripped on her wedding dress and fainted. When she woke up, she saw Dasunzi as a stranger, but her eyes lit up upon seeing Cai Liang. Zhengguo finally regained her memory, but before the family could celebrate, they were troubled by unexpected problems...
