In search of peace, Tom (played by Lewis Fiander) and his pregnant wife Evelyn (played by Prunella Ransome) have come to the remote island of Almanzora. The warm weather and beautiful scenery make Tom feel relaxed, but the perceptive Evelyn senses something strange. It turns out to be an island inhabited only by children with no adults. This discovery deeply unsettles Evelyn, yet they choose not to leave, and the gates of hell are opened. Soon, the true nature of the children on the island reveals itself—cruel, violent, and devoid of humanity. The absence of adults is because they have all died at the hands of the children. Faced with these unwelcome guests, the children launch their attack. In the ensuing chase, the biologist Tom gradually uncovers that a strange virus is the root cause of the children's madness.
