This drama begins with Emperor Kangxi leading nobles and the elite troops of the Eight Banners on a northern tour known as "Mulan Qiu Mi," showcasing the extraordinary process through which a divine deer guided Kangxi to discover the auspicious site of Rehe (Chengde).
