The young boy Lu Ping (played by Chen Feiyu), who possesses the rare ability to connect six souls, has been imprisoned in the Mountain and Sea Tower since childhood. He fortuitously escapes with his adoptive sister Su Tang and is taken in by Guo Youdao, the master of the Zhaifeng Hall, becoming a disciple in the town of Chenqiao. There, he receives guidance from his righteous senior brother Xi Fan (played by Xiong Ziqi). The Mountain and Sea Tower causes chaos, and the proud young lady of the Shuoguo martial family, Qin Sang (played by Cheng Xiao), along with her trusted maid Ling Ziyan, track down the agents of the Mountain and Sea Tower to Chenqiao, mistakenly identifying Lu Ping as a contact for the Tower and hiring the incompetent assassin Mo Lin to infiltrate Zhaifeng Hall for investigation. To find clues about the Mountain and Sea Tower, Lu Ping forms a Zhaifeng representative team with Xi Fan, Su Tang (played by Deng Enxi), and Mo Lin (played by Yu Yijie) to participate in the Soul-Pointing Conference in Kaifeng, alongside Qin Sang and Ling Ziyan (played by Shang Xuan).
