This series is adapted from the event in 2014 when a Chinese medical team went to multiple countries in West Africa to combat the Ebola hemorrhagic fever epidemic. It tells the story of virologist Zheng Shupeng (played by Luo Jin) and his Chinese medical team who suddenly faced a massive outbreak of Ebola in West Africa. With very limited medical resources, they engage in a strenuous battle against the virus using their superb medical skills. At the same time, Chinese investigative journalist He Huan (played by Mao Xiaotong), who is conducting undercover research on a diamond smuggling case, resonates with the doctors' idea of transcending medical boundaries and prioritizing life.
