Qiu Yingjie is a police officer, diligent in his work and gentle in nature. His wife, Yu Ruohua, is an elementary school teacher, kind and virtuous, and their five-year-old son, Qiu Yue Liang, is smart and adorable, making their family life happy and fulfilling. One day, Qiu Yingjie’s first love, Wang Xiaohong, suddenly approached him, claiming she was unable to support her daughter, Maomao, and asked him for help in sending the child to an orphanage, which surprised Qiu Yingjie greatly.
