A young black boy nicknamed Bougnat (played by Claude Amazan) dreams of attending summer camp. However, he discovers the day before departure that his mother hasn't signed him up. Feeling frustrated, he hopes to find a way to join the camp. In contrast, 14-year-old Rose (played by Isabelle Adjani) refuses to join the other kids, hiding on the roof before the group leaves, but reluctantly gets on the bus after some fuss. Bougnat comes up with a plan: he changes his name, jumps onto a train, and pretends to be a lost child to reach the summer camp. At the camp activities, Rose falls for the handsome counselor, while Bougnat refreshes everyone's perception of the trip with his hiding and various pranks...
