From the Horqin Banner in Mongolia, the beautiful Da Yu'er (played by Ning Jing) has been hailed as "the most beautiful woman in Manchuria" since childhood. She was childhood sweethearts with Prince Dorgon (played by Ma Jingtao), the younger brother of Emperor Hong Taiji (played by Liu Dekai), and they promised to be together for life.
