Soon after the eight-year War of Resistance against Japan ended, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party engaged in a desperate battle. To prepare for the impending counter-offensive, the Communist Party seized the opportunity to send Liu Kehao (played by Ren Chengwei) to impersonate Qiao Tianchao, the deputy director of the Military Commission’s Northern Bureau's intelligence section in Beiping, to infiltrate the Shenyang station and obtain confidential information.
