"Home at South San Tiao" follows the grudges and relationships between two families of merchants in South San Tiao. The male protagonist, Wang Zihan (played by Fu Dalong), faces internal and external troubles right after inheriting the family business: his father, a Zhejiang businessman who had moved to South San Tiao in his early years, suddenly passes away, leaving other family members with their own agendas.
