Filmed by Hubei Television in 1991, it tells the story of Zheng Ruping, a female assassin from the military intelligence under the Kuomintang led by Dai Li, who is dispatched to lure and assassinate Ding Mocu, the head of the Wang Jingwei spy headquarters, after repeated failures. Zheng Ruping easily seduces Li Shiqun and Ding Mocu, leaving them mesmerized. She exploits the conflict between Li Shiqun and Ding Mocu, leading to Li Shiqun's death by colluding with the Japanese. Zheng also steals Ding Mocu's top-secret files. Although she initially plans to kill Ding, the cunning and alert Ding Mocu discovers her intentions and escapes ahead of time. Knowing that returning is likely to result in her death, Zheng Ruping still goes back. She endures severe torture but remains steadfast and unyielding, ultimately being shot by Ding Mocu. After the victory in the War of Resistance, the files stolen by Zheng Ruping are exposed, and Ding Mocu is eventually brought to trial.
