In order to survive and pursue their dreams, Tie Zhengguo, along with his brothers Tie Tou and Gao Zhong, returns home from military service and goes to work at a construction site in Beijing. With no prior construction experience, Tie Zhengguo endures humiliation to learn from a mentor, Ma Yifang, practicing hard and eventually grows into an excellent construction worker.
