Soong Ching-ling was an important historical figure with a wide-reaching influence in the world during the last century. She dedicated her life to the democratic revolution in China and was one of the founders of the People's Republic of China, a great patriot, democrat, peace activist, and communist fighter. From a young age, she admired Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the great precursor of the democratic revolution, and developed revolutionary aspirations. Upon returning from studying in the United States, she faced serious setbacks in the democratic revolution and, at the most difficult time, resolutely abandoned everything to join the revolution, following Dr. Sun Yat-sen through life and death, fighting in battles across the country, and providing medical care and comfort to the wounded during the bloody war years. She risked her life and ingeniously rescued Sun Yat-sen from danger twice, and assisted him in writing revolutionary theories. When Sun Yat-sen faced repeated setbacks and felt lost about the revolution's future, she timely helped him implement new policies of alliance with the Soviet Union and the Communist Party, and support for farmers and workers, advancing the deep development of the Chinese democratic revolution. After Sun Yat-sen's passing, following Chiang Kai-shek's "April 12" coup, she united the left within the Kuomintang and fought fiercely against Chiang Kai-shek, completely breaking with the Song family, who aligned with his reactionary regime. She then visited the Soviet Union, lived in Berlin, studied Marxism, and recognized that the only hope for the Chinese revolution lay with the Chinese Communist Party. Thereafter, she steadfastly followed the Communist Party, and under the white terror, actively engaged in social activities, forming the "China Civil Rights Protection Alliance" and the "National Salvation Association" to rescue captured communists, patriots, and progressive youth. She upheld world peace and opposed fascist aggression. At a critical moment during the Japanese invasion, she passionately called for all sectors to mobilize the masses for a national anti-Japanese campaign, and during the two battles of Shanghai, she raised military funds and resources, risking enemy fire to reach the frontlines, comforting anti-Japanese soldiers, aiding the wounded, and boosting morale. Additionally, she did substantial behind-the-scenes work to promote collaboration between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party to jointly fight against Japan. After Shanghai fell, she did not retreat to the rear but hurried to Hong Kong to establish the "Alliance to Defend China," calling on the international community and patriotic expatriates to donate funds and materials. She provided a large quantity of military and medical supplies to support the Eighth Route Army and New Fourth Army through www.tctv.cc. Especially during various revolutionary periods, she conducted multiple fundraising efforts to provide disaster relief, assisting millions of workers, refugees, disaster victims, and orphans, earning widespread praise as "Heaven has Guanyin, Earth has Soong Ching-ling."
