At the end of 1947, on the eve of the liberation of Northeast China, Yan Shuangying, the reconnaissance battalion commander of a certain unit of the Fourth Field Army, was tasked with organizing a small team to infiltrate Tianjin, aiming to obtain the operational plans of the Nationalist Army guarding the city, draw military defense maps, and arrange troop deployments to pave the way for the main army to liberate Tianjin.
