Oscar-winning director Alejandro Amenábar's television directorial debut “#Wealth# La Fortuna” has announced its cast, with filming expected to start this summer and a 2021 release. This six-episode series will star Stanley Tucci, Álvaro Mel, and Ana Polvorosa from “The Cable Girls.” The show is a collaboration between AMC and the Spanish pay-TV channel Movistar, adapted from Guillermo Corral's graphic novel “El Tesoro del Cisne Negro” (The Treasure of the Black Swan). The story focuses on young diplomat Alex Ventura, who collaborates with a combative civil servant and a clever American lawyer to find historical artifacts stolen from the sea by Frank Wild during his travels around the world. Additional cast members include Clarke Peters from “His Dark Materials,” T'Nia Miller from “Sex Education,” Karra Elejalde from “Time Crimes,” Manolo Solo from “The Plague,” Blanca Portillo from “Return,” and Pedro Casablanc from “Pain and Glory.”
