Summer Wanqing (played by Yang Mi) is the daughter of the chairman of Hualang Group (played by Zhang Chengguang), who has faced betrayal in both love and friendship. She is first framed by her close friend Lai Xue (played by Liang Youlin), with the only person who knows the truth being the wealthy heir Qiao Jinfan (played by Liu Kaiwei). The poor boy Mo Lingtian (played by Wu Jianfei) has been in love with Wanqing for three years, but on the day of their engagement, he is incited by Lai Xue to abandon her. Tempted by both emotion and benefit, he joins the Qiao family, fully revealing his ambition to rise to power. Wanqing's brother, Wan Yang (played by Fan Shaohuang), though born into the snobbish and harsh Xia family, values freedom and has little interest in business. Qiao Jinfan, the sole heir of the Qiao Group, is a flamboyant and unruly playboy, constantly surrounded by various beauties and spending his father's wealth. When he learns that his father intends to bring his old flame's illegitimate daughter, Lai Xue, into the Qiao residence, he is determined to fight back. After experiencing the treacheries of business and family turmoil, Qiao Jinfan and the equally disbelieving in love Summer Wanqing gradually find true love in each other and come together.
