Li Dabenshi lives in Pingjiang Prefecture in southern Jiangsu and is an extremely impoverished man with nothing to his name. However, he is very proud and straightforward, kind-hearted, and often goes out of his way for his friends. One day, Li Dabenshi was taken to be publicly shamed for teasing the maid Liu from Lord Li’s household.
