The story takes place in the early years of the Republic of China, during the time when Yuan Shikai attempted to restore the monarchy and become emperor. At that time, Yuan Shikai's actions against the southern revolutionary party were rampant. The atmosphere of national fear serves as the backdrop for a series of thrilling stories that unfold under the pressure of turmoil. The protagonist, Cheng Zifan, is kind-hearted but is framed on his wedding day and captured under military law, thrown into prison. In jail, Cheng coincidentally meets a mysterious old man who tells him about the treasure map of the traitor Wang Zhi on his deathbed. After Cheng Zifan is released, he uses the treasure to seek revenge against those who previously framed him. Throughout the process, he is guided by revolutionary ideals and gradually realizes that personal grievances pale in comparison to the cause of national liberation, leading him to abandon revenge and instead join the revolution. Since shooting began at the end of September, the period drama "The Path of the World" has been in intense production, and the entire crew did not take a break during the National Day holiday. The team hopes to finish filming by the end of the year! With the famous “Qiong Yao actress” Chen Derong, known for her role in "Plum Blossom Tattoo," and rising star Qi Hang playing a mother-son duo, recent photos released online show Chen Derong looking so youthful that she appears more like a sister than a mother to Qi Hang! This year marks the 60th anniversary of National Day, and red-themed and war-themed dramas have been emerging in abundance! As a major annual production set in the Republic of China era, both director Li Liangcheng and Xingkong Yinjian have high hopes for the show. The inclusion of many powerful actors like Chen Derong, Jiao Enjun, Qi Hang, Yao Zhuojun, and Wu Qing strengthens the show's support! In the drama, Chen Derong plays Qi Hang's mother. She rose to prominence early on due to "Plum Blossom Tattoo," and although she is over 30 now, the aura of a knowledgeable and beautiful woman around her has only intensified, making her increasingly charming! Her appearance alongside Qi Hang makes them look more like siblings than mother and son, truly portraying her as the youngest mother! Qi Hang also remarked, “I used to call Derong ‘sister’ in private, and now I’ve become confused and just call her ‘mom,’ haha!” Chen Derong enjoys her "son" both on and off screen, often laughing, "Hehe, Qi Hang is a motivated boy; having a 'son' feels really nice!"
