Adapted from the Chengguang game "Encountering the Dragon," it tells the love story of the Dragon King and a young maid over three lifetimes. Liuying (played by Zhu Xudan) is a small maid by the side of Xiahou Xue. By chance, she encounters a snake that frightens her to the point of almost losing her soul. Liuying quickly grabs the snake, unaware that it is a dragon that has been cultivating for a thousand years, named Yuchi Longyan (played by Wang Hedi). To repay his kindness, Yuchi Longyan takes Liuying away, but due to a misunderstanding, Xiahou Xue, who cares for Liuying, mistakenly believes she is missing. During the search, he encounters a wolf demon and unexpectedly dies at Yuchi Longyan's hands. Yuchi Longyan fulfills Liuying's wish, rescues the young lady, and protects her across three lifetimes. In an attempt to save Yuchi Longyan from punishment, Gu Qingyan's soul is absorbed by the Fate Star Lord, and ultimately, her other half of the soul merges with Yuchi Longyan's, helping him defeat the antagonist.
