Young screenwriter Deng Jiaqi (played by Du Chun) and his newlywed wife He Feier (played by Ma Yili) find their marriage arranged by their parents, which initially leads to Jiaqi's dissatisfaction and resistance toward Feier, as he values individuality and freedom.
