The story takes place in the metropolitan world of New York, where four women—Tang Pan, Ling Feng, and He Xiaoou—each with different identities and backgrounds, come to New York to pursue their dreams. They start from the lowest point of their careers, experiencing the vicissitudes of life in a foreign land, facing difficult choices in love and life, and ultimately achieve their personal dreams. Tang Pan arrives in the United States from mainland China, studying fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York while desperately searching for her missing lover—painter Xun Dalu.
