A comedy by the BBC about the "Suspicious Cold Case" unit of the Metropolitan Police. The team is led by female DS Sandra Pullman, and since it's about old cases, they've hired three retired detectives: Jack, who buries his deceased wife in the backyard and chats with her every day; Gary, once a notorious womanizer, now has to have dinner with his three ex-wives and four daughters; and Brian, a compulsive, recovering alcoholic and conspiracy theorist. The title comes from the saying: "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." However, these old-timers successfully leverage their experience and skills in the modern era, solving difficult cases with seemingly outdated methods.
