This drama tells the story of resisting the Japanese invaders' plundering of Chinese cultural heritage. During the Republic of China period in Tonghai Town, an ancient tomb attracts various tomb raiders, while the brave and simple people of Tonghai steadfastly protect it. As the Japanese army covets and plunders Chinese cultural heritage, their claws reach towards the ancient tomb in Tonghai. The story narrates how during the Republic of China period, the Communist Zhao Yuezhe (played by Fu Chengpeng) is commissioned to come to the simple Tonghai Town, where he encounters the armed forces of the town, led by the valiant Xu Xiahe (played by Yang Shu), and leads the local militia in a desperate struggle against the Japanese army, the National Army, and various bandit forces to protect the ancient tomb.
