The old widower and photographer Zhou Jiefang is desperately pursuing retired art teacher Qin Yu, who is about to go abroad. Before she leaves, she leaves a message: as long as Zhou Jiefang marries off his youngest daughter Zhou Xiaohua, she will come back and marry him. Zhou Jiefang doesn't want to let his happy old age slip away, so he holds a family meeting and asks his elder daughter Zhou Xiaohong to speak up, pushing Xiaohua to find a partner quickly. Zhou Xiaohong is married to Li Quan, an associate professor researching oracle bones, a marriage that Zhou Jiefang sees as a source of pride. Zhou Xiaohong meets a romantic online friend named "Friday," who claims to be a famous journalist, and she is immediately attracted to this mysterious and charming man.
