This drama is adapted from the novel "Luoyang" by Ma Boyong. It tells the story of Gao Bingzhu, Bai Li Hongyi, and Wu Siyue, who come from different social classes and form an alliance due to a common goal. They investigate various mysterious cases in the prosperous capital Luoyang, ultimately thwarting a conspiracy by the Spring and Autumn Path and protecting the peace of the divine capital. Gao Bingzhu (played by Huang Xuan), a disreputable deputy general from the lower class, accidentally gets involved in a case and becomes a suspect. While trying to prove his innocence, he meets Bai Li Hongyi (played by Wang Yibo), who is seeking the truth behind his father's poisoning. The two collaborate to investigate.
