Tachibana Misaki (Kana Kurashina) is a top photographer from Amakusa who is now active in the fashion photography world and is highly trusted by top Italian designers. However, she has recently been troubled by declining eyesight. Initially having mild color vision deficiency, she learned after an examination at a university hospital that she has a condition that may affect her photography career. Exhausted, Misaki receives a letter from her younger sister and decides to return to her hometown Amakusa, which she hasn't visited in 18 years. There, she encounters her hated stepfather Tōichirō (Ken Watanabe), and painful memories resurface. However, reuniting with her high school friend Kintarō (Katsuya Maebara) gradually helps her find hope from her emotional low. The drama, directed by Takashi Minato, presents a story of intertwined sorrow and hope set against the backdrop of Amakusa in Kyushu and Italy.
