The manga "Beast in Flowers" was serialized in Sho-Comi from 2010 to 2012. It depicts a青春ラブストーリー about "beastly boys" who appear masculine in looks and speech but show a cute side in front of those they love. In the live-action drama, the pure and innocent protagonist, Kumi, is played by Yurika Nakamura from "Nishino Yukihiko's Love and Adventure," while the playboy Leo is portrayed by Haruya Sugino, the cool Chiha who continuously supports Kumi from the shadows is played by Takashi Matsuo of SUPER GT, the sincere and kind-hearted Ryusei is portrayed by Shoma Kai, and Kanna, who gradually opens her heart to Kumi while harboring secrets, is played by Anna Iriyama (AKB48).
