"Kill Me, Heal Me" (《杀了我治愈我》) is a South Korean mini-series that aired on MBC from January 7, 2015. It was created by the writer Jin Soo-wan, known for "Moon Embracing the Sun," in collaboration with directors Kim Jin-wan from "East of Eden" and Kim Dae-woong from "Hotel King," featuring a new theme centered around dissociative identity disorder, with elements of mystery and intrigue, marking an unprecedented genre in Korean dramas. The drama was jointly produced through cooperation between Korea and China with an investment of over a billion won, making it the first television series that combines the planning and production strengths of Korean companies with Chinese capital. It tells the healing, comedic, romantic love story of Cha Do-hyun (played by Ji Sung), a third-generation chaebol with seven personalities, and his secret primary therapist, the first-year intern Oh Ri-jin (played by Hwang Jung-eum). As the treatment gradually reveals a brutal family history, the struggle between the main personality and the six alternate personalities for control of their body and time will bring viewers a story that is sometimes thrilling, sometimes joyful, and at times heart-wrenching like the winter sun.
