Miziru Rantian (Masami Nagasawa) works as an assistant at a beauty salon and often faces criticism from her colleagues. At home, she has to deal with her mother's alcoholism and bringing men home. For her, life is a mess. So when her boyfriend Muneyuki Ikawa (Ryo Nishikido) proposes living together, she eagerly agrees with hopes for the future. When Miziru goes shopping for household items for their new home, she remains oblivious to the gaze of Ruka Akimoto (Saki Ueno) behind her. In an attempt to catch up with Miziru, Ruka accidentally bumps into Takeshi Mizushima (Eita) who had also been observing Miziru at the home goods store. Ruka and Miziru are high school classmates, and Ruka harbors an unspoken secret. After catching up, the two enjoy each other's company. Now, Ruka lives in a share house with her friend Eri, and when she hears Miziru happily talk about moving in with her boyfriend, a complex emotion crosses Ruka's eyes.
