The show is created, written, and narrated by comedian Jack Rooke, based on Rooke's award-winning live comedy works "Good Grief," "Happy Hour," and "Love Letters." The story follows the caring, shy Jack (played by Dylan Llewellyn from "Derry Girls"), who is still in the closet, and the vibrant, young, slightly more mature Danny (played by Jon Pointing from "The Romanians"), as they form an unexpected friendship. Over the past year, Jack has stayed at home with his mother, mourning the loss of his father. Now, Jack is ready to embark on his college journey where he meets his roommate Danny. The two are assigned together during Freshers' Week under the care of an overly enthusiastic student union leader. Despite Jack and Danny being on completely different levels of masculinity, they forge a close bond amid the inevitable chaos and craziness of their first year at university. Rooke hopes the show will be like "The Big C" meets "The Middle" with a mix of sex and drugs, and crying in bed while watching "This Morning."
