Tony (played by Ricky Gervais) was once living a happy and fulfilling life. But after his wife Lisa's death, Tony undergoes a drastic change. He contemplated ending his life but ultimately decides to live on, indulging himself and acting recklessly to punish the world. He believes he possesses a kind of superpower, no longer caring about himself or anyone else. However, it becomes evident that this power weakens as everyone tries to save the good person they once knew.
