Tom Hardy's new show "Taboo" started filming in London this week, co-produced by BBC One and FX, with Michael Kelly and Jonathan Pryce joining the cast. This series marks Hardy's collaboration with Steven Knight following "Peaky Blinders" and "Locke." Hardy will play James Keziah Delaney, who discovers a mysterious inheritance left by his father after living in Africa for ten years in 1814. Misunderstood by others, he is drawn into a war, finding himself in a confrontation with the East India Company while playing a dangerous game between the two warring nations, Britain and America. Kelly will portray an American doctor; Pryce will play Sir Stuart Strange, the chief of the East India Company and Delaney's main antagonist; Oona Chaplin plays Zilpha Geary, Delaney’s half-sister; and David Hayman plays the loyal servant Brace. Other cast members include Jessie Buckley, Ashley Walters, Jefferson Hall, Ed Hogg, Leo Bill, Christopher Fairbank, Richard Dixon, Jason Watkins, and Nicholas Woodeson. According to previous reports, Kristoffer Nyholm will direct, Mark Patten will be the Director of Photography, Sonja Klaus will serve as Production Designer, Joanna Eatwell will handle Costume Design, and Nina Gold will be the Casting Director.
