This film is adapted from the renowned Russian author Leo Tolstoy's eponymous work "War and Peace," focusing on the emotional stories of the noble young lady Natasha (played by Clémence Poésy), the nobleman Pierre (played by Alexander Beyer), and Duke Andrei (played by Alessio Boni). Centered around the 1812 Patriotic War in Russia, it recounts significant events and various facets of Russian society from 1805 to 1820. As Russian society experiences the tumultuous changes brought by war and peace, the three protagonists discover the meaning of life amid conflict. The new version of "War and Peace," produced with a budget of 26 million euros by six countries: Russia, Italy, the UK, France, Poland, and Spain, took two years to film across Poland, Lithuania, Australia, and Russia. This film once again brings Tolstoy's monumental work "War and Peace" to the screen, showcasing a distinctly international flavor thanks to its diverse creative team.
