Created by Emmy and BAFTA-nominated Heidi Thomas and based on the bestselling memoir "Call the Midwife" by Jennifer Worth, the series "Call the Midwife," produced by the BBC and developed by Neal Street Productions, tells the story of midwives in East London during the 1950s and their work, lives, and emotions. In Season 9, the staff and midwives of Nonnatus House are entering an era of bold innovation. Demographic changes, evolving regulations, and the resurgence of old diseases pose unexpected challenges.
