"Little Dorrit" is a work adapted by the BBC from the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens. Amy Dorrit (played by Claire Foy) is the daughter of William Dorrit (played by Tom Courtenay), who went bankrupt, causing the whole family to incur massive debts and be imprisoned in a debtor's prison. Born and raised in a debtor's prison, Amy, despite her humble origins and difficult life, has a kind heart, never hesitating to help those around her and not feeling ashamed of her poverty. At the age of 21, she secretly becomes a servant in the household of the Pearsons, where she meets their only son, Arthur (played by Matthew Macfadyen). With Arthur's help, the Dorrit family unexpectedly inherits a fortune due to their surname and leaves the prison to become part of the upper class. Everything around them suddenly changes as a result. Will Amy and Arthur eventually end up together after all?
