Little Fires Everywhere is adapted from the novel of the same name by Celeste Ng. The story takes place in a small town in Ohio during the 1990s. That summer, a fire consumed the Richardson family's house. Everyone believes that it was the "doing" of Elena Richardson's (played by Reese Witherspoon) youngest daughter, Izzy, who has mysteriously disappeared... Along with Izzy, the Richardsons' tenants also vanished: the free-spirited artist Mia (played by Kerry Washington) and her daughter. They silently challenged the family's deeply held belief that a stable, beautiful life requires meticulous planning. Their arrival further breaks the constraints surrounding Izzy, who realizes she can never return to her old life.
