The lone assassin Ken Tsentō (played by Shinichi Chiba) receives a new mission where he intentionally commits a crime by entering a police station and, in broad daylight, murders a suspect. He then successfully kills another foreigner carrying a gold Buddha. His audacious actions and exceptional skills catch the attention of Officer Yamazaki Nanashiro (played by Naoki Shima). Despite his desire to continue the investigation, he does not receive support from superiors, leading him to resign and conduct an independent inquiry. Through his master, the head of the Masamune Dojo, Masakazu Seigō (played by Masamune Suzuki), he learns about Ken's background.
