A comedy from the BBC about the Metropolitan Police's "Cold Case" department. The team is led by female DS Sandra Pullman, and since it's about old cases, they decided to recruit three retired detectives: Jack, who chats with the grave of his deceased wife buried in the backyard every day; Gary, once a famous womanizer, now has to have dinner with his three ex-wives and four daughters; and Brian, a compulsive, former alcoholic and conspiracy theorist. The title is taken from the old saying: “You can't teach an old dog new tricks.” However, these old folks successfully use their experience and skills in this new era, as those complicated cases fall right into the seemingly outdated old tricks.
