This series is created, written, and narrated by comedian Jack Rooke, adapted from Rooke's award-winning live comedy works "Good Grief", "Happy Hour", and "Love Letters". The story follows the caring, shy, and still-in-the-closet Jack (played by Dylan Llewellyn, "Derry Girls") and the energetic, young, slightly more mature Danny (played by Jon Pointing, "The Romantics"), who develop an unexpected friendship. Over the past year, Jack has stayed home to support his mother while mourning his late father. Now, Jack is ready to embark on his university journey, where he meets his roommate Danny. The two are assigned together during freshers' week, under the care of an overly enthusiastic student union leader. Despite Jack and Danny being on completely different ends of the masculinity spectrum, they form a close bond amidst the inevitable chaos and madness of their first year at university. Rooke hopes this series will be like "The Other Two" meets "The Middle" with a mix of sex and drugs, and crying in bed while watching "This Morning".
