Tony (played by Ricky Gervais) was once living a happy and fulfilling life. However, after his wife Lisa passes away, Tony's personality changes dramatically. He contemplated ending his life but ultimately decides to live on, indulging himself and acting out as a way to punish the world. He believes he possesses a sort of superpower, no longer caring about himself or anyone else. But it turns out that this power quickly diminishes when everyone tries to save the good person they once knew. In addition to Gervais, the cast includes Kerry Godliman as Tony's wife Lisa, Tom Basden as Tony's brother-in-law Matt, Tony Way as Tony's friend Lenny, David Bradley as Tony's father, and Ashley Jensen as the nurse of Tony's father.
