This comedy is set in a fictional small town called Tambury and tells the story of Tony (played by Ricky Gervais). Tony is a writer for the local newspaper whose life is turned upside down after his wife dies of cancer. 　　In Season 2, Tony is still mired in the pain of his wife’s death, but we see him trying to improve his relationships with those around him.
