Daisuke Nagasato (played by Shingo Katori), nearing his forties, works at a stationery company in Tokyo. After taking out a loan, he finally bought his own apartment in the bustling city center. With many refined hobbies, he is dedicated to turning this space into his own castle, unwilling to accept his estranged father, let alone troublesome love affairs and noisy coworkers. Contrary to his wishes, he finds his upstairs neighbor is a fashionable single woman, Hanako Kumagai (played by Juri Ueno), who frequently gives blunt criticisms of Nagasato’s company's products, leading to an unavoidable conflict between them. To make matters worse, Nagasato's father, Yozo (played by Toshiyuki Nishida), unexpectedly moves in with his new wife's son. As his dream castle crumbles, Nagasato is reluctantly forced to coexist with these "intruders." Will he be able to reclaim his perfect life?
