The story begins with a romantic relationship between two protagonists from completely different worlds: one is Danny (Ben Whishaw), who once indulged in a life of excess and is now alone, yearning for true love, and the other is Alex (Edward Holcroft), a mysterious and taciturn spy from the British Secret Intelligence Service. Despite their contrasting backgrounds and personalities, the two have a wonderful time together.
