The story takes place in England in 1933. The renowned detective Poirot (played by John Malkovich) receives an anonymous letter predicting three murders and providing clues. Although Poirot reports it to the police, they do not take the anonymous letter seriously. As expected, murders occur, and two victims, whose names start with "A" and "B," are killed in the manner described in the letter. Poirot realizes he must race against time to save the only survivor whose name starts with "C." Subsequently, Poirot receives several more anonymous letters with similar content, but as he attempts to investigate the truth behind these events, he faces numerous obstacles, with only Detective Cromwell (Rupert Grint) steadfastly supporting him.
